During the weekend of February 24th to 25th, the auditions for “Gaitas Merici” '24 took place at the school. The senior class of 2025, had the opportunity to audition for the roles they most desired to do in their most awaited “Gaitas”. On Saturday, the girls who wanted to participate in dance got an opportunity to show off their talent and impress the judges with their incredible moves. On Sunday, the musicians got their special moment, too. The girls were divided in groups, where they were assigned a specific time for their audition. They got to impress everyone with their incredible vocals, and got to show how talented they are playing their favorite instrument. It was a very exciting and special experience, where all these talented young ladies created unforgettable memories with their friends and classmates. They got their results back on Monday afternoon, and we are certain the girls will do an impeccable job, giving it their best, creating an incredible “Gaita”.

Ccs Meat is a restaurant located in Parque Cerro Verde. It is known not only for their amazing dishes but also for their accessible prices. The perfect place to go on a weekend with your family and friends!

The Restaurant opens from 10am to 11pm every day, except for Sundays, when it closes at 8pm. We highly recommend this place to everyone seeking to have a good time with their friends and family while enjoying the best meat you will ever try!

CCS FLY
Caracas Fly was first opened on August 31st 2021. It is located in Parque Cerro Verde mall, on level “G”. It is known for its wind tunnel which was built to give people the sensation of flying or skydiving. There is an instructor that gives the participant a lesson beforehand and who goes inside the tunnel with the person. They have their special signs, flexible hours, bundles, among other fun and creative plans so that you can have the best experience. It is a fun encounter, usually done for celebrating birthdays, dates, family gatherings, plans with friends…

A fun fact about CCS Fly, is that it's the only establishment with a wind tunnel in Latin America.

ICOA POSTRES
Daniela Solano, the mother of one of the school's students, is the owner and pastry chef of “Icoa Postres”. She graduated from the Mariano Moreno Institute, she has been with Icoa Postres for 12 years. Daniela started her business with a single product that initially made her known, which was cupcakes.
Today, she has a list of more than 40 products, including the highly recognized brownies and alfajores, among others. The best-selling product is the “Torta Daniela”, cake filled with salted caramel and the marbled one. During the pandemic, she launched her line of cakes. Currently, the best-selling products are bundt cakes, which have become very popular due to her attractiveness and high yield.
When asked about the most challenging product to perfect, Daniela mentioned that was cookies. Her dedication to creating the best led to her decision to study pastry and dedicate herself to this art. Since Daniela has been part of Academia Merici, she has applied a 10% discount for school families. LYRAS
Lyras Swimwear is a business of beachwear created by two high school students of Academia Merici, Rebeca Ochoa and Sabrina Longart. They started this brand on August of 2023, initially offering simple colors. One of their pieces, the silver crochet bikini became their best-selling item. When we asked about the origin of the store, they mentioned that they decided to start this business due to the growing popularity of crochet swimwear. They offer a wide variety of colors and combinations,including cover ups, skirts and shorts, making it the perfect store to buy your complete “beach look”. Additionally, they have plans to expand their line to include other types of bikinis and beachwear. We are excited to see new beachwear designs from these entrepreneurial girls.
